Emulating A Professional Photographer

I believe this is my. most successful image for this assignment because I used inspiration from Laura Letinsky to create an image that brings a similar feeling as the original photo. The dried up flowers/plants leave you thinking about a deeper meaning or a back story.
The most challenging aspect of this assignment was getting inspiration from the artists photographs without copying it. I had to dive into my own creativity to put each photo together.
In the future, I will play around with lighting more and maybe use a professional camera or something other than my iphone camera.
I can definitely see the resemblance between your picture and the artist. Laura's photography has warm lighting and soft shadows, which can be seen in yours. I belive the flowers were a great choice, since they share the same duller colors compared to bright colored ones. I would only suggest to try an angle more from the side of the vases, rather than focusing on above. - Ella Thompson
I really like how you recreated the photographer's style while still making it feel like your own. The way you arranged the flowers and plants looks very similar to the original, and I like how the dried flowers give the photo a deeper meaning. The lighting and composition also make the image look clean and balanced. One thing I might try differently is using slightly brighter lighting or a different camera angle to make the details stand out even more. Overall, I think you did a great job capturing the inspiration behind the original photograph.
I like your image, I can definitely see the inspiration you took from Laura Letinsky. What caught my eye at first was the brown leaf; it almost looks as if it is floating just above the table. The image does seem just a bit dark, I think upping your exposure just a tad would help give the green leaves some color. I think it would also be interesting if you played with different perspectives and backgrounds, like maybe a rug or a colorful piece of cloth. Overall I think you did a good job of emulating the photographer you chose.
